Her Awkward character Sadie Saxton may have been a total mean girl, but Molly Tarlov was all sweetness and romance this weekend when she said 'I do.'
The actress tied the knot with Honor Society drummer Alexander Noyes in Palm Springs, California on March 4, and she couldn't be happier.
'My husband was beaming when I came down the aisle,' she told People. 'When I looked at him it was just like my teammate was once again standing there waiting for me at the end of the road.'
They do! Molly Tarlov of the MTV show Awkward married Honor Society drummer Alexander Noyes
Romantic: The ceremony and reception were held under a canopy of roses in Palm Springs, California
Molly said she was happy to see her husband beaming at her as she came down the aisle
The wedding colors were shades of pink, and the theme was 'the cactus and the rose'
Outfit change! The actress swapped her dress after the ceremony, while her groom changed into a flashy suit and pink bowtie
Sweet: Molly wore a series of off-the-shoulder dresses for the rehearsal dinner (right) and wedding (left)
After a rehearsal dinner on Saturday night at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club — where Alexander matched his white suit to Molly's boho, off-the-shoulder lace dress — guests headed to venue Colony 29 on Sunday for the big affair.
Molly got ready with her bridesmaids, giving them all matching Love Ophelia robes to wear — though their dresses were all different. The low-key bride said she let the girls all pick what they'd wear, and only asked that they show her first.
As for her own dress, the actress tried on 'approximately 1,000' designs before settling on a custom off-the-shoulder lace creation with ruffled sleeves.
'My "something old" was the earrings my dad gave my mom at their wedding,' she revealed. 'Something new was the heart-shaped diamond necklace my husband surprised me with during the first look. A couple weeks ago he said 'I'm gonna get you a heart shaped diamond one day,' and then he pulled it out during our first look.
During the party, they had matching custom jackets hanging from the backs of their chairs
Some of Molly's Awkward co-stars (including Greer Grammer, Brett Davern, and Jillian Rose Reed) were on-hand to celebrate
Cheers! In addition to wine and beer, they served up two signature cocktails
Unique: The bar was set with roses and a neon sign reading 'Forever Trill'
Planning: Molly said said the stress was worth it at the end of the day
Pretty picture: Instead of a frosted confection, they served gelatin cake at their event
During the first look, Alexander gave Molly a heart-shaped necklace, which she wore for the rest of the day
'I definitely wasn't expecting it so soon and I can't wait to wear it forever. On a yellow gold chain of course!' she went on. 'Something borrowed was a beaded clutch my mom lent me me and my something blue was the fairy dust on my nails and my powder-blue Chanel shoes I changed into halfway through the reception ... also my husband's eyes!'
Her make-up was done by Corina Rabichuk, the make-up artist on the set of Awkward. Corina included Molly's favorite lip shade, Buxom Lavendar Cosmo. Molly also wore her hair up in a high ponytail, which showed off her Amaroq Design veil.
She carried a pink bouquet, which matched the floral canopy that she and her new husband said their vows under.
During the ceremony — which was officiated by Molly's father — the couple traded 'classic but still unique' yellow-gold bands with matching inscriptions.
Signature cocktails were named after the bride and groom and fit the color scheme
Let the music play! Molly walked down the aisle to Countdown by Beyonce and Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac
Relaxed: Molly didn't have her bridesmaids wear matching dresses, instead letting them choose their own
Yum: Food served included tuna tartar, wild mushroom flatbreads, and beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce
Molly said she didn't eat bread leading up to the wedding and was excited to chow down
Her something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue were all accessories and jewelry
With this ring... The couple exchanged matching yellow-gold rings
Both the bride and groom changed for the reception — Molly into another white dress, and Alexander into a flashy brocade three-piece suit. They also added matching bespoke jackets by The Mighty Company, which hung from the backs of their chairs and featured logos to match their theme of 'the cactus and the rose'.
The party kicked off with the first dance to the Zombies' This Will Be Our Year.
For food, guests ate hors d'oeuvres including tuna tartar, wild mushroom flatbreads, french dip sliders, and veggie spring rolls, followed by beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce, roasted chicken with olive nage, and seabass with heirloom tomatoes — which Molly chowed down on after avoiding bread leading up to the wedding.'
During the ceremony, Molly wore a veil and kept her hair up to show it off
A pet dog — wearing a color-coordinated wreath around its neck — walked down the aisle
Get down! Their first dance was to he Zombies' This Will Be Our Year
Flip-flops were offered up to women who got sick of wearing heels
Molly was on Awkward, which ran on MTV from 2011 until 2016
There were also signature cocktails, wine, and a bar with a neon sign reading 'Forever Trill', which was surrounded by flowers.
The cake was incredibly unique, too. Instead of classic tiered confection, the couple had a pear Jell-o cake by Art de Gelatin.
At the end, the bride said she was thrilled with how everything turned out for her big day, which was photographed by Studio1208.
'We had a lot of mishaps and more than that, I couldn't believe we put ourselves through all this stress when we could've gone to the courthouse and gotten a pizza!' she said. 'But it was all worth it, of course!'
